With the generous support of local donors, AFA (Art for All Society) established an art scholarship fund
for nurturing young artists. The AFA Art Scholarship Fund aims to support and help local residents under
30 and is going to pursuit diploma, bachelor or graduate degree in disciplines of visual art, including drawing,
photography, sculpture, video art, multimedia, installation art, art history, art criticism, performance art,
art administration or development and management of creative industries. Individuals who can meet the
above prerequisites and have already been accepted by related academic institutes can apply for this scholarship.
A committee consists of AFA members and local well-known artists will be responsible for the assessment.
Successful applicants who get remarkable academic achievements might be invited to the future exhibitions
and art fairs organized by AFA.
AFA begin to distribute the scholarship since 2009. In the past four years, eleven students have been granted
AFA scholarship for art related programs and art administrative management courses in Beijing, Guangzhou,
Sichuan, Taiwan, London and Hong Kong.
By setting up the art scholarship fund, AFA hopes to encourage more young people, especially secondary
school students who aim to choose art as their career. In long run, the aim of this fund is to cultivate more
art and creative talents and to draw more newcomers for the sustainable development of local visual art scene.
